Drying off from Quebec

On Thursday morning Bill Frazer, Phil LeMarche, and myself packed up the mini-van and headed up to Quebec. Recent heavy rains brought up the New Haven to a nice level so we took the long route through Vermont. The New Haven is about as fun as kayaking gets, so the little detour was well worth it.

We were going so fast I didn't have time to take nay photos, but I here is a photo of Trip Kinney from a few weeks ago.

After a couple of laps we headed north to meet up with Steve Arns, Mike, and Alex from Canada. Once in Quebec, it began to rain. Not so much heavy downpours, but a constant misting, soaking rain that seemed to have no end. Our team of six had so much fun running the taureau on Friday, Five of us ran it again on Saturday (thanks Mike for running shuttle). Not too Keen on spending another night camping in the rain, and with levels not quite right for anything to paddle on Sunday, we headed home.
