It occurred to me that all I ever write about is what I do on the weekends. I'm pretty sure that no one actually reads this blog, but if they did I'd want them to think that cool stuff in and around Lake Placid does not just exist on the weekends. In fact, there is fun to be had in this town all the time. Especially if it's someone's birthday.
Tuesday was Bill's birthday so of course there was a surprise party. We ate a ton of food and drank some adult beverages, all in honor of the final year of Bill's twenties. Next year, we will be celebrating the big 30. I bet that's gonna be a good time.
Pretty much any evening of the week you can find someone to ride a mountain bike with. Whether it's one of several regualar group rides, or just a crew that wants to go out and get dirty, there's always a fun trail, and fun people around to ride it with.
One of my favorite trails has a downhill that comes screaming down into a beautiful field. Donald, Adrienne, Justin, and myself, braved the wet conditions on Wednesday night, to take in some beautiful scenery. There's other stuff around, but I'm not gonna talk about it, I'm just going to show it.
This weekend is another Release on Stone Valley, the only place in the world that I knwo where you can ride awesome single track, and awesome class V whitewater from the same parking spot.
