Mid Winter Adirondack Update

Winter in the Adirondacks started off in fine form. Lots of cold snowy weather made for excellent skiing in December and the Early part of January. We got after it in the Backcountry, logging several missions to Wright Wrong Gully, The Angel Slides, and one 9 hour day skiing True North off of Gothics. (Yes this is backcountry skiing in the Adirondacks...I know you are shocked)

As always, the middle of January came with a massive thaw. Temps. in the fifties and rain brought the rivers up in a big hurry, and cleared many of them of ice. The warm weather opened up an opportunity for Justin McGiver and myself to head down to the Branch for a couple of laps before we became popsicles.

There were smiles all around, at the take-out of the second lap. We stayed pretty warm, and had a great time. The mission would not have been possbile without our fearless shuttle driver Jenny. We made sure to keep hr happy one way or another.
